About

Uzhma is a Practicum Student at Bhatia Psychology Group, currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, also from Adler, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour from McMaster University.

Uzhma is committed to helping clients navigate a wide range of mental health concerns, with the goal of empowering them to lead happier, healthier lives. She takes a holistic approach to therapy, believing that its true value lies in equipping clients with the skills and confidence to support themselves long after they leave the therapy room.
She uses a client-centered approach, drawing on strategies from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Uzhma works with individuals facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship conflict, difficulties with emotion regulation, and family conflict.

Uzhma has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and is able to provide therapy in Hindi and Urdu, in addition to English.
All clinical services provided by Uzhma are delivered under the supervision and license of Dr. Isha Mahajan, C.Psych., in accordance with the standards and regulations of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
