Dr. Mahajan has a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and has a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University.
Isha utilizes a strengths-based relational approach to treatment and assessment. Isha has seven years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings including community, school, inpatient, and private outpatient.
She received specialized training working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Specifically, Isha has received training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Dr. Mahajan works with a wide range of clinical needs such as difficulties with mood, anxiety, attention, behavior regulation, interpersonal relationships, school adjustment, and personality development. Isha is experienced in providing psycho-educational assessments, particularly for diagnosing learning disabilities, autism spectrum, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and personality disorders.
Additionally, she works with individuals struggling with relational issues related to divorce and separation, stress, and life transitions. She is also passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma including sexual and physical abuse and concerns related to identity development.
She utilizes an evidence-based holistic treatment approach and is warm, supportive, and collaborative in her work with individuals. She works closely with parents, schools, and other important systems in an individual’s life to facilitate therapeutic progress.
Isha provides psychological services under the supervision of Shelly Buckingham, Psychological Associate, and Dr. Anusha Venugopal, Clinical and Counselling Psychologist.
