Dr. Herleena Verraich earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from The Chicago School, where she developed a relational psychodynamic approach grounded in cultural humility and social justice values. Her clinical foundation is built on emphasizing multicultural concerns and understanding how identity, culture, and systemic factors can shape a person’s emotional and relational world.
Dr. Verraich has completed four years of comprehensive clinical training across a range of settings, including inpatient settings and university counselling centers. Through these diverse experiences, she has supported clients in navigating a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, burnout, identity development/exploration, relationship challenges, grief, emotional regulation, and life transitions. She is particularly experienced in working with individuals navigating complex trauma (including relational and cultural trauma), multiple cultural identities, experiences of marginalization, and acculturative stress.
She has a strong interest and background in working with women and gender-diverse individuals, including providing gender-affirming care. Herleena’s goal is to empower clients in building self-understanding and resilience while honouring the complexity of their lived experiences.
Herleena’s therapeutic work is relational at its core; she believes that meaningful change happens within a safe, authentic, and compassionate connection. She strives to create a peaceful space where clients feel seen and understood, encouraging them to explore their experiences with openness and curiosity.
