About

Ron is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. His educational background includes master’s and doctoral degrees in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto. He has published several papers, including a dissertation in practice, which granted him a doctoral degree. His dissertation is titled: “An Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis of the Experience of Mattering in Individuals after a Motor Vehicle Crash”. Ron has also helped supervise masters-level students at the OISE clinic as part of his doctoral training.

Ron’s clinical work includes working with adults who have experienced trauma and some of the aftermaths that emerge as a direct result of the traumatic experience, including anxiety and feelings of despondency. His work prioritizes creating a safe space for disclosure and helping restore a sense of empowerment by tapping into an individual’s strengths and coping strategies that have served them well. Ron believes that every individual matters and places high importance on this idea, getting across in sessions. He cherishes every moment that he learns from clients and their stories. Finally, he recognized the great value of supporting clients in their journeys to reconnect with individuals and activities they once enjoyed.
