Muhammad Umar is a registered provisional psychologist in Alberta. He is also a Registered Social Worker in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta. He has been working in the field of social work and mental health since 2013 in various roles. Muhammad specializes in anxiety, depression, insomnia, relationship issues, addiction, and trauma/PTSD. He speaks Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu fluently.
With evidence-based clinical expertise and genuine care, he serves youth and adults with an array of mental, emotional, social, and behavioural issues. Muhammad is trained in various evidence-based psychotherapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Accelated Resolution Therapy (ART), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). His aim in therapy is to empower his clients by empathically listening to their presenting issues/problems and providing them with evidence-based strategies to help resolve those issues.
