Kayla Sparkes, M.A., RP

Meet our Registered Psychotherapist

Kayla is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She completed her Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and Honour’s Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Trent University.

In addition to 3 years in clinical practice, Kayla has 5 years of counselling-related experience supporting individuals, groups, and families in various residential, community, recreational, and educational settings across Ontario and Alberta. These experiences provided her with a first-hand account of the power of human connection and the incredible resiliency of individuals, families, and communities which became the foundation of her clinical work.

Kayla’s areas of therapeutic focus include a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem and relationship issues, emotional difficulties, and grief. In addition, she has a special interest in working with individuals struggling with the impacts of stress, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Her approach to therapy is integrative in nature with an emphasis on emotion and the mind-body connection. Kayla is available to provide MVA and WSIB services under the supervision of a member of our psychologist team.
